Usually they are much quicker in attending the wounded, much cheaper, and even take insurance. And they are located throughout most areas and their hours are pretty good. Familiarize yourself with them/the concept ahead of time. Recently we had a good experience with open, bleeding wounds. We have a ton of tor...I hear ya in the snack dept. We have a ton of tortillas that my kids love w/honey and PB rolled up. Not sure it's all that cost efficient...But the only trash is the tortilla wrapper and if I learned to make them on my own there wouldn't be that! The PB is in a glass jar that we save and the honey thing is recyclable but I hope to start buying it in a diff. container soon. I tell my older son the kitchen is closed at certain hours. He can drink all the water he wants =) I'm so mean! But it's free and all that...that's great that your kids are so into healthy snacks! Get copies back when possible. The children often learn better and are happier when they can hold the activity (paper). I suffer from great paper concerns, but we must juggle to do the best we can in teaching. Clearly you do. Other than that, watch to use less hot water. They say that most hot water used for washing clothes is unnecessary. Cold water does the trick most of the time. <BR/><BR/>We recently replaced our gas tank with a gas tankless hot water heater. While it's true that we use less gas, because of our conservation habits we weren't using much to begin with and it will take a long time to recuperate our investment (though I'm always pleased to us less gas). <BR/><BR/>We've always been concerned about water usage, but now I wonder if that isn't more important an issue than gas (see www.waterfootprint.org). Oh, so much to worry about! I think you are right to establish and hold fast to your rules. These are supposed to be adults here...as a SAHM who used to teach HS, I get what you're talking about! Sometimes I would excuse HSers behavior b/c they were not quite adults, but they always wanted to be treated as such, so why not hold them to those standards?
